About the pilot
CS & Computer Engineering student at USC, minoring in Business Finance — USC Presidential Scholar, GPA 3.87. Class of 2028.
I build fast, polished software — infrastructure at Shopify on Channel Platforms today, and before that a freight-marketplace quoting interface at Hemut (YC X25) and donor-data automation at Deloitte that saved a nonprofit ~$500K a year.
I co-authored a peer-reviewed astrophysics publication from research at Yale, co-founded Valkyrie (winner of USC's Lavalab accelerator), and — off the clock — I fly. Private pilot, Cessna and gliders.
Experience ledger
Shopify
N-SHOP
- Building infrastructure that powers Shopify's merchant presence across external sales channels and the broader commerce ecosystem.
Hemut
N-HMT25YC X25
- Redesigned the freight-marketplace quoting interface in TypeScript, streamlining an orderbook platform for shippers and carriers.
- Built CRM endpoints and refactored consumers onto them — cutting redundant database queries, validated against AWS RDS (PostgreSQL).
Deloitte
N-DLT
- Streamlined a nonprofit client's donor-data workflow with Python and REST integrations — 30% less manual entry, ~$500K saved per year.
- Evaluated software & cloud infrastructure of acquisition targets to advise on technology-driven M&A strategy.
Yale Astrophysics
N-YALE
- Engineered a Python pipeline (NumPy, SciPy, PyTorch, TensorFlow) processing observations from 5 telescopes across 7 epochs, with Faster R-CNN supernova classification and isochrone fitting.
- Modeled supernova light curves to a 394 ± 38 Mpc cosmological distance — co-authored a peer-reviewed publication ↗.
Flight deck
When I'm not shipping code, I'm at the airfield. I hold a Private Pilot License and log most of my hours in a Cessna — the same steady, honest airplane most pilots learn on.
Before powered flight I trained in gliders — soaring on ridge lift and thermals with no engine at all, which teaches you to read the air and manage energy better than anything else.
